Hasbro India Introduces Monopoly Games Made In India

In a bid to demonstrate the Monopoly brand’s commitment to the community, Hasbro India will donate one toy for each fan vote on the Community Chest Challenge.

On the occasion of World Monopoly Day i.e. on March 19, 2021, Hasbro India has launched new additions to the Monopoly franchise in India. The Monopoly Deal Card Game Hindi version and Monopoly BID offers an opportunity to play the Monopoly game in different and exciting formats. It is a landmark initiative for Hasbro as these new additions are ‘Made in India’, for the customers in India, strengthening Hasbro’s commitment to boost local sourcing and manufacturing in the country.

Monopoly BID and the Monopoly Deal Card game Hindi version are designed for kids ages 8 and above and are available on e-commerce platforms and local toy stores.

In addition, Hasbro has announced the Monopoly Community Chest Challenge from 19 March – 09 April 2021, for consumers to determine the 16 new cards by voting at MonopolyCommunityChest.com.

Hasbro is counting on their fans to help reflect what community means in their real lives, into the Monopoly game, by voting for new cards like “Shop Local”, “Rescue A Puppy” or “Helping Your Neighbors.”  To further highlight the Monopoly brand’s commitment to the community, Hasbro India will donate one toy for each fan vote on the Community Chest Challenge.

The donations will include a variety of toys and games worth up to INR 30,00,000 towards non-profit organizations such as ‘Save the Children’ for their education-focused programs and to safeguard children’s right to play; Nargis Dutt Foundation for their education, health, and women empowerment programs, and other select partner non-profit organizations.

“The launch of new Monopoly games in India is a historic moment for Hasbro and we are excited to offer these immersive play experiences for families to bond over and fans to stay connected with the brand,” said Bhavesh Somaya, General Manager – South Asia, Hasbro. “Additionally, the Monopoly Community Chest Challenge is a significant step in capturing a renewed community spirit through toy donations in India.”

In the Monopoly Deal Card Game Hindi version, fans can buy, sell, and trade properties in Indian cities. All the 110 cards including Property Cards, Rent Cards, House and Hotel Cards, Action Cards and Wild Property Cards along with the instructions are in Hindi.

Other localized and Made in India versions of the Monopoly game are Monopoly Classic, Monopoly Deluxe Edition, Monopoly India Edition, Monopoly Junior, and Monopoly Deal Card Game.
