Direct-to-consumer beauty and personal care retailer MyGlamm has acquired parenting platform BabyChakra. This marks the foray of the company into the baby care and parenting category. The financial details about the acquisition haven’t been revealed.
With this acquisition, MyGlamm and BabyChakra would be investing around INR 100 crore in the next three years in building mom-baby content to a commerce platform.
Naiyya Saggi, Founder & CEO of BabyChakra, will join the MyGlamm group as co-founder and president and will lead the mom-baby vertical while also building out the overall community vertical for the group. She will also join the MyGlamm board.
By associating with BabyChakra and POPxo earlier, MyGlamm is now a community of more than 80 million women. Presently, the beauty retailer has around 800 SKUs across makeup, skincare, personal care and it has recently forayed into the hair care segment.
The large user base, proven digital and go-to-market capabilities, and data-driven insights into what millennial women and mothers want would help MyGlamm, POPxo, and BabyChakra successfully create, launch, and market products in the beauty, lifestyle, and parenting category, the company said.

BabyChakra will continue to operate as a standalone brand. Over the course of the next one year or so, MyGlamm will have a portfolio of more than 80 baby personal care products with 50 percent of them launching this year itself. This will include baby care essentials such as washes, lotions, and creams appropriate for Indian skin and climate and will be branded as BabyChakra products.
