Popular American toy retailer Toys“R”Us has started its fifth store in the Indian market

Toys“R”Us has launched its fifth store in India in Phoenix Marketcity in Pune, Maharashtra. The store launch took place with a two-day gala event, Geoffrey’s great toy party from 12- 13 January, 2019. There were famous cartoon characters such as Tom & Jerry, Masha and Bear, Dora, Ben10 and a plethora of amusing and creative concurrent activities and workshops for kids. The brand has recently launched a store in Kerala in Y Mall, Thriprayar in Thrissur (Kerala) on 29 December, 2018. It is the Abu Dhabi-based LuLu Group which had introduced the global retail toy brand Toys“R”Us in India, with the first store launched in Bangalore in 2017. For India, the brand is operated by Tablez India which is a division of LuLu Group International which has a master franchise agreement with the US parent company.

Headquartered in Wayne, New Jersey, United States; Toys“R”Us, Inc. is an international toy, clothing, video game, and baby product retail brand which was founded in April 1948. It was in the 1980s that it had entered into the international market by starting its first international wholly-owned store in Canada and licensed operations in Singapore.
