German skincare brand Sebamed, which is a new entrant in the Indian skincare market, will bring its products in smaller units or variants, i.e., in sachets. This new packaging will enable the brand to expand its reach in the domestic market.
With the availability in sachets, the company, having a slew of personal care and baby care products, is bringing down the price points of its products. By launching pack sizes whose pricing starts at INR 10, the skincare company is intending to have a wider distribution and sell its products through general trade as well.
Sebamed had introduced sachets priced at INR 10 a couple of months ago for their entire shampoo range, which also includes Sebamed children’s shampoo. Meanwhile, the company had started introducing smaller variants of their products two and a half years ago.
Sebamed has a retail presence in 60,000 stores in 50 Indian cities. It plans to double its reach to be available in 100 cities across the country by the end of this year. The company now intends to make its products available even at more mom-and-pop and Kirana stores.
