Bangalore-based healthcare startup has raised capital from Rajan Anandan and Indian Angel Network

PregBuddy, a Bangalore- based startup functioning in the domain of maternal healthcare has successfully acquired financial funding from the Indian Angel Network and some other investors. This startup is devoted in providing assiduous guidance to expecting mothers and it was founded in the year 2016 by IIT Kharagpur Alumni Sivareena and Subhadeep Mondal.
Indian Angel Network- India’s first business angel network is an association of various organizations that grants financial capital to early stage, emerging companies and it has about 450 venture capitalists. Some other investors who were involved in that round of seed funding were- Rajan Anandan, an IAN member and MD Google India, Jayant Kadambi, Co-founder and Chairman of YuMe, Madhusudan Kannan, CBO of Uber India and Puneet Gupt, COO of Times Internet and also a few others.
It is growing swiftly and has attained a traction of more than 60,000 users which is assuredly a good indication in this sector. Their user base comprises first-time mothers and particularly those living in nuclear households, as this application provides a space for a networking connection for various expecting mothers, daily and weekly health tips, healthcare tracking, and for reaching out to the Gynecologists.
PregBuddy in a very less time has been able to make its mark and was chosen by Google for their very first cohort of Solve for India and its Launchpad Build Program. They have also bagged awards for their meticulous work in the healthcare sector given by Film Actor Akshay Kumar, Asian Business Angel Forum and DST- Government of India.
