LEGO has launched a new motorized Disney Train and Station set which is modeled on the classic train stations and steam locomotives found at Disney parks, like Disneyland in California and Disney World in Florida. The iconic Disney-style station building houses a ticket counter, café corner and intricate detailing, including a wall clock, ceiling chandelier, draped windows, fine furnishings and a tower room. It includes a 20 piece of railroad track, both curved and straight pieces, a full station that measures 15 inches tall, and a steam engine-style locomotive with three cars behind it.
The LEGO Disney Train and Station are part of LEGO’s “Powered Up” line of building sets, which use motors, sensors, and other electronic bits to bring brick-built creations to life. The set features miniature figures- Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Chip, Dale and Goofy, along with 16 curved and 4 straight pieces of track, a locomotive, a tender, a passenger car, a parlor car and the famous station building. The Disney Train model measures over 4 inches high, 30 inches long and 3 inches wide, according to LEGO. The toy set also features several magnetic pieces for easy building and an app that allows users to steer the locomotive using a Smartphone or tablet.
The LEGO group has released theme-based toy sets and models time and again across multiple themes and on various popular culture characters and motifs. Founded in the year 1932 by Ole Kirk Christiansen, the LEGO Group is one of the leading manufacturers of play sets, puzzles and toys.
