Italy-headquartered Cam Il Mondo del bambino was started 50 years ago and is considered as one of the most trusted infant care brand with extensive product offerings. Mauro Vezzoli, Export Manager at Cam Il Mondo Del Bambino, in an interaction with Mommy & Baby Times, sheds some light on the product range of the brand, about their plans of bringing their baby products to the Indian market and the manufacturing of their products.

Headquartered in Telgate (Italy); Cam II mondo del bambino is an Italian family-run enterprise started in 1969 by Rho brothers- Franco, Aldo and Mario. It has made its name as a leading European brand in the infant care space with a diverse and dynamic product range. The company has its presence in about 70 countries as of yet and is seeking to enter into the Indian territory very soon.
Extensive product range of the brand
There are five diverse product ranges in the brand, namely, ‘In the home’, ‘Hygiene’, ‘Wooden products’, ‘Out and about’, and ‘In the car’ as well a distinct Deluxe collection. Talking about the diverse product range, he states “we have a diverse range of baby products and products for kids which we continue to expand with time and proper consideration. Our aim is to offer quality products around the idea of baby care and safety.”
“We are eagerly looking to extend our presence in the Indian market… (We are) in search of a right partner to associate with and we are quite optimistic of getting good response in this market.”
‘In the home’ range houses five sub-ranges having an assortment of high chairs, playing carpets, playards, and bath tubs. The category of ‘Hygiene’ has wet wipes and diapers; and ‘Wooden products’ includes a range of beds, drawers and a mini wardrobe collection. The range of ‘Out and about’ encompasses a range of Modular systems, pushchairs and accessories and ‘In the car’ has a diverse range of car seats.
Seeking to enter Indian market
Mentioning about their prospective move to foray into the Indian market very soon, he says “we are eagerly looking to extend our presence in the Indian market as we understand that it’s an important market and is also very dynamic. Thus, we are actively in search of a right partner to associate with and we are quite optimistic of getting good response in this market.”
About the current market presence of the brand, he tell us “we are currently exporting to 70 countries as of now and then we are aspiring to expand our focus and reach to various markets which are unexplored for us as of yet with measured steps.”
Manufacturing and key strengths
Divulging details about the manufacturing and the key strengths of the brand, he relates “each of the products is designed by our team of skilled designers in our head office, and the manufacturing operations take place in Italy itself. We pay utmost attention to detail and make sure to having a good control and consistent checks on the quality of the products. We do the quality-checks generally in our company and there are also some laboratories in Europe doing these tests for us. Each of our products complies with the European standards and we understand our responsibility of having an absolute guaranty for the quality of the products.”
