In the review meeting spearheaded by the District Collector Mr. A. Mallikarjuna, the officials were directed to work on measures for the promotion of Etikopakka Toys.

In a move to promote Etikopakka toys, District Collector of Vishakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), Mr. A. Mallikarjuna has instructed officials to find out the different countries that were patronizing these toys, and prepare a list of Indian states which purchase the toys in large quantities and carry out extensive promotion drives in those regions.
As published in a news report, Mr. Mallikarjuna, who is also the Chairman of the District Industries Export Promotion Council (DIEPC), held a review meeting at the Collectorate.
In the meeting, he directed the officials to initiate measures for the promotion of the products including Araku Coffee, Etikoppaka toys, seafood, marine products, pharma, and coir exports.
One recommendation was also to show the time-consuming and strenuous activity of producing the colorful Etikoppaka toys via video to the discerning connoisseurs. The Collector also asserted that youth should receive training to gain the required knowledge on the making of these toys.

District Industries Centre (DIC) General Manager Mr. Ramalinga Raju informed that 152 applications were received under the Single Desk Portal 2015 and 115 of them had been approved. He further stated that 50 out of 63 of the claims received under MSME Incentive for 2010-15 and 2015-20 have been cleared and an investment of INR 3.23 crore has been approved.
