Timios: A Healthy Snack Brand For Children

The global market for Kids’ food and beverages is projected to reach USD 144  Billion by the year 2024. The reasons for this include a rising emphasis on child health and wellness, growing awareness, and benefits of the right dietary habits.

Children today have access to packaged food more than ever. A quick stop at the supermarket can result in a number of snack packs that are mostly unhealthy. Currently, there are limited or hardly any options available in the category of healthy age-appropriate packaged food for children. Timios was started with an aim to offer age-appropriate and healthy snacks for children. Founded by brother-sister duo, Aswani Chaitanya, and Hima Bindu in 2016, Timios has a range of healthy food products designed for children. Timios products are age-appropriate covering age ranges starting from 6 months to 12 years. (Babies, toddlers, and schoolers). Each product is made with 100% natural ingredients and contains zero preservatives.

With 7 categories of products, Timios offers finger food, munchies, energy bars, biscuits, probiotic bites, and much more. Each of these products is designed in suitable portions to provide the necessary nutrition. Timios will soon be introducing weaning food and other snacks for toddlers and schools.

Funding:

Timios is funded by MTR Foods Pvt Ltd. They have recently raised Pre Series A funding led by Rangsons Technologies LLP, part of NR Group. The round also saw participation from Paipal Ventures LLP

Availability and orders:

In the last one year, Timios has served 2.5 Lakh+ customers. The products are available on their website, online platforms like Amazon, Bigbasket, Firstcry, and Flipkart. With 400+ orders every day, the company also sells its products in over 350 stores (organic stores and kids/baby stores). In addition to this, Timios has recently launched a Whatsapp store to sell directly to consumers.

Details about Founders:

Aswani Chaitanya is the CEO and Co-founder of Timios. After spending about 15 years in top tier investment banks, Aswani decided to start his own company. Prior to Timios, Aswani has worked as a Sr Vice President at Goldman Sachs from 2013-2015. Before that he worked at Deutsche Bank for more than 6 years as Head of European Securities Lending & Funding IT, Finance Resource Management (FRM) IT – Global Development Manager, and Securities Lending IT – London Development Manager. Aswani has also worked at UBS investment bank and Wipro technologies

Hima is the Co-Founder of Timios, a healthy snack brand for Children. Having been a research associate for an FMCG company, Hima has to her credits Pasta Recipe booklets that were written by her. As an assistant brand promoter and Nutrition specialist, Hima has looked into the clinical and wellness side of food products too. At Timios, Hima is responsible for product development.
