This website portal has US award-winning mother and baby care brands such as Puracy, Babo botanicals, Natures Baby Organics and many more to name. Megha Dua, Co-Founder at Nuluv India Pvt. Ltd. shares the story behind the start of the brand, the product range and the various certifications for the organic skincare products at the portal in an exclusive interaction with Mommy & Baby Times (MBT).

MBT: Kindly describe how this idea of starting an organic skincare portal came about.
Megha Dua: As a mom I was extremely protective of my pregnancy and apprehensive towards the generic products available which contain harmful chemicals, alcohol, parabens, etc. The truth dawned on to me that no good quality brand in India was catering to safe maternity-related and baby care products.
After returning to the US, we did meticulous research and tested several brands to provide high quality, trusted and reliable solutions to all mothers and babies back home in India. Thus, Nuluv commenced and took flight! Nuluv aims to bring the best of the best high-quality organic brands for Indian mothers and their children from across the globe.
MBT: What is the current product range offered at Nuluv?
MD: Nuluv is a niche platform, which has introduced premium and renowned mama and baby brands from the US. We carry 7 different brands popular in the US market for different stages of life ranging from pregnancy, post pregnancy, motherhood, babies and toddlers. In addition to being natural and organic, these brands have been certified in the US and have won several awards. High quality and safety are something that we strive for, and you will experience that once you compare these brands products with the regular counterparts.
MBT: Talking about the business mantra of your company, ‘Nurture with love’; how do you extend this to real-life applications in the products that you present at your portal?
MD: We believe that maternity and childhood are the most beautiful and precious phases of life that needs to be showered with utmost love and care. Thus, we wanted to bring such products for mamas and babies which can nurture their journey in the gentlest and purest way that is through the love of nature. After months of research, we brought the products which contain completely natural, organic and high-quality plant-based ingredients with zero nasty chemicals and toxins. All the products available at Nuluv have been developed by doctors, recommended by dermatologist to be absolutely safe, and hypoallergenic even for the most sensitive skin so that mothers and babies can enjoy their journey to the fullest.

MBT: Please apprise us about any recent developments and future goals of your company.
MD: Nuluv in the recent future will add more brands to their mama and baby section and also plans to go further than just skincare and include other essentials for maternity and newborns as well. Essentially, we are planning to expand the scope of the company in a carefully considered way.
MBT: Take us through the various certifications that Nuluv has attained.
MD: Our brands have attained several trusted and authentic certifications for safety of mamas and children. In addition to receiving USDA organic, MADE Safe ingredients, EWG safe (environmental working group), and NSF international certifications assuring to be absolutely safe for the young sensitive skin, the products have also won numerous awards and received recognition in major global publications.

MBT: What is your go-to market and distribution strategies and how do you promote a particular product or product range before introducing that in the market?
MD: We have been primarily focusing on social media for promoting our products. We work closely with influencers and celebrities to increase our visibility and widen our reach. Exhibitions and Fairs are another medium we tend to connect with our consumers.
MBT: Do you plan to expand the product range in the near future?
MD: We are certainly planning to add more renowned, trusted and safe global brands in the skincare range for mothers and babies. Moreover, we are also planning to add a new skincare range for everyday adult care as well. I would like to underline that to provide high quality, natural and organic skincare solutions will always continue to be our primary goal and topmost consideration.
MBT: How do you think the participation in B2B exhibitions help a company in strengthening its brand name in the market? Describe a bit about your participation at Mommy & Baby fair.
MD: Exhibitions like these help new and emerging brands to come one step closer to their right target audiences by providing them with the right channels. We are excited about our participation at Mommy & Baby Fair that is going to be held in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. As we are sincerely looking towards the expansion of our distribution area and network, we are hoping to get the appropriate contacts to help gain more popularity to further our reach in the Indian market.
