One of the strongly emerging enterprises in the field of mother and baby care market, BabyChakra has raised an undeclared amount in funding from Equanimity Ventures, founded by former Franklin Templeton fund manager Rajesh Sehgal and financed by renowned emerging markets investor Mark Mobius; Anand Chandrasekaran, former chief of product at Snapdeal; Maninder Gulati, chief strategy officer of OYO rooms and other senior corporate stalwarts.
The startup would utilize the fresh capital to further bolster up its regional and language-specific content for the online platform. Offering a wide range of services from baby care, baby carriers, photo shoots, maternity essentials for mothers, and a lot more; BabyChakra has been charting out the bellwether for the recent surge in the baby care market.
BabyChakra is an online portal which links parents to the related services and products for toddlers. This is the third round of funding for the brand which had earlier attained seed funding from Mumbai Angels, the Patni Family Office, and the Singapore Angel Network in June 2015 and the Series A funding from RoundGlass Partners in 2016. This funding would certainly aid BabyChakra in strengthening its foothold in the baby care space and in business growth.
